i like motion controls in video games

pretty much just the title. i dont find motion controls annoying at all, i see it as just another way to control a character in a game or solve a puzzle (im looking at you, r/breathofthewild)

it's a feature that pulls me further into a game rather than throwing me out of it like a lot of people experience. i'll use the infamous breath of the wild shrine where you maneuver a ball through a maze using motion controls as an example: if you had to just pick up the ball and carry it to the end it wouldnt be very fun at all (even though that's what a lot of people do lol)

instead, you get to shift your controller and imagine that you have the maze in your very hands. you have complete freedom over the thing- you can flip it however you want.

another example are the minigames in the most recent mario party game on the switch (i hate this game as a whole tbh, but that's a topic for another day). if you were controlling that little plane with the joystick it would be immensely boring, but instead you get to tilt your controller and actually be flying it.

not much else i can say. motion controls are fun lol
