Airbnb Credit: Things to Know

Hi Folks:

We received our AirBnB credit today through the 211 application. It is $1,300. Not sure if it's the same amount for everyone, or if they base it off your family size (we are a family of four). Below is from their FAQ. IMPORTANT to note: You cannot apply the credit to any rentals or payments already made. It also expires on January 21st.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I book more than one emergency stay? Yes, you may book more than one emergency stay related to the crisis for which you received Airbnb.org credit. Check-in must occur before your credit expires. The total cost for all stays must not exceed the amount of Airbnb.org credit you’ve been granted. You can always find your remaining credit in your Account > Payments and payouts section. This credit is not for vacations.
  • Can I give this Airbnb.org credit to family members or friends? No, this credit is just for you. Only you can make the reservation, and you must be among the guests. Otherwise, the reservation will be cancelled and the credit will be forfeited. You can’t give, sell, or transfer this credit to anyone else.
  • If I cancel my reservation, can I use the Airbnb.org credit again? Maybe. Check the Host’s policy carefully before clicking “Reserve.” If the Host provides a full or partial refund when you cancel, the refunded credit will be processed automatically and may be used toward a new emergency Airbnb.org stay related to the same crisis within the same timeframe. If the Host doesn’t provide a refund when you cancel, you’ll lose the credit and you won’t be able to receive more credit.
  • Will my Airbnb.org credit expire if I don't use it?Yes, your credit expires on January 21, 2025. Credit cannot be extended or saved beyond this date. Your check-in date must occur before your Airbnb.org credit expires.
