One side may have failed, the other side leveled down to it. What is concerning is that it hasn't lifted back up. You could also have a bad compressor, and the rear bags can't fill anymore. Most x5s are pretty easy to replace rear bags and the compressor on.

It should be lifting on its own. Jacking it up just tricks the height sensors into thinking its up and doesn't need filled.
